Warm summer greetings!

The Bluebird Trail has been installed at Huntington Beach State Park!  More

volunteers are needed so that we have weekly coverage to monitor that trail.

Our findings will be reported to the SC Bluebird Society, putting the Grand Strand

on the map.  Please call (843/748-0989) and let us know if you are interested in

participating in this project!

It’s very hot outside, and it’s vital that the birds have clean water to drink.  They

will also enjoy a cool dip in your bird bath.  Keep your baths filled with fresh water!

A Feeder Swap will be conducted July 16 – 31, 2016.  Trade in an old feeder and get

20% off of a new one!  We will clean up and repair the feeders that you trade in.  All

refurbished feeders will be donated to local charities such as hospice and assisted living

communities.

Huntington Beach State Park offers Coastal Bird Walks every Wednesday until the end

of August, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.  The walkers meet in the Causeway Parking Lot.

Remember to take your binoculars!!

We are planning a trip to the Center for Birds of Prey on July 28.  A guided tour begins

at 10:30 AM, followed by an education program, which includes a flight demonstration.

Admission is $18.00 for adults, $12.00 for children ages 6-17 & complimentary under

age 6.  Discounts are available for senior citizens, AAA cardholders and active duty

military.  Please let us know if you plan to join us on this adventure by July 21, 2018.
